It's not without its flaws (weak villain origin stories, over-reliance on characters that should have not come back, a generally hollow story), but I wouldn't put it in the weakest entries of the DCEU. I was gonna say "the writer deserves some of the blame as well" but she also did the story and script, along with Geoff Johns, sooo... 😄
 
Almost through this one and it's not what I expected, but in a good way.

Really enjoyed this directorial feature debut. A little psychological/body horror with mild screen-life themes.

A socially inept photographer reckons with his craft through the polarized requests of three recurring clients—a social influencer/model, a bachelorette with body dysmorphia, and an estranged, divorced father.

Currently straming on Prime, Tubi, Vudu, Freevee and Plex.

So after the damp squib of the eternals and utter shit show that Dr Strange 2 I was avoiding further Marvel fare , but as Guardians 3 dropped in the uk this weekend I went for a catch up ..Ant man Quantumania was far better than I was expecting...and Guardians 3 was a great and fitting finale even if it was a tough at times watch - good luck to parents with younger kids explaining some of the animal experimentation scenes away ... restored my faith in marvel (a bit ) so will give Secret Invasion a go...
