Me too, but I can't remember the last time I thought "I hope this massive corporation does the right thing" lmaoThere are already huge issues with Disney (maybe other studios as well) writing in long theatrical runs into their contracts; if a theater licenses a new release they're obligated to run it for a certain amount of time, which isn't necessarily a good business decision and requires the theater to gamble on the movie appealing to the public for up to a month. It results in a model where you pay a mint to screen Captain America 8, so you have to hype it up and flood your screens with it up front to try and get that opening-weekend audience to recoup the cash you're going to lose four weeks later when you're staring down the barrel of an empty Captain America 8 screening room.
The opposite end of that model is what Alamo does: it's cheaper and more profitable to license out one or two two Terminator 2 screenings, pack the house out, and profit off cheeseburgers and beer. I'd imagine/hope Sony knows which side their bread is buttered on and doesn't mess with that.
Agree Die another day was a poor Bond movie in every wayMan, this movie is lucky it's got Halle Barry in it, i swear lol

i agree with this. at the end of day, a movie theater is for the movies; it’s not a shopping mall, i am not there for souvenirs or silly merchandise. i am there to see a film i am interested in.Cinema is doomed. I just saw a report on my local news saying that summer box offices are down 28% from last summer and their plan at saving the summer movie season is goofy “collectible” popcorn buckets. No one is going to the movie theater for a popcorn bucket. What do you do with your giant collectible popcorn bucket once the movie is over? That’s gonna take up a lot of cupboard space, not to mention you would have to pop like 6 bags of microwave popcorn to fill it up.
You could smuggle a beer and a sandwich in that thing!i agree with this. at the end of day, a movie theater is for the movies; it’s not a shopping mall, i am not there for souvenirs or silly merchandise. i am there to see a film i am interested in.
BUT… i do have to admit i’m a hypocrite..
i got this fella* in universal studios last year, and i bring him with me every time i go to the movies. he fits about a small popcorn bag serving inside of him, which is just the right amount for me anyways, so it’s a win

I would personally flip Tennenbaums and Rushmore but they a super close. I can’t really fault anyone for flipping these around. So far I agree with you 100%
I would flip Life Aquatic and Bottle Rocket. Maybe I need to watch Life Aquatic again and my Dallas bias is showing but I was not that big a fan of it. I prefer my Wes Anderson movies to be less kitschy and aesthetic driven.View attachment 205902
