Very nearly went to the local screening of Nosferatu that fires up in two minutes but I didn't really want to be out until midnight:thirty, or really leave the house at all for that matter. Gonna check out the earlier showing tomorrow while she does bedtime instead!

Only seats left for the earlier show are in the front row, so I'm going to the late show after all.
 
Yeah, I get it. Just found the dichotomy kinda funny. Most things we find enjoyable don’t make us wanna jump off of bridges but as someone who’s a big fan of “sad bastard” music, I can relate.
Stripping away the intensity of the subject matter for a moment; the way it tells the story (in what is left unsaid, in the top tier sound production, in the little moments where people awaken to the horror of what is happening, etc) is among the best I’ve seen in years. So it’s enjoyable in the “how did they make this” sense, and from a pure love of film perspective. It’s what makes wafting through the horror tolerable.
