Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom and Jurassic World are the 2nd and 3rd best in the series but a little different. JP2 is decent but JP3 and JWD are not good.

I rewatched the Hobbits (all extended) and I think the third one is the only one that's truly dire. The first two have their moments. None of them live up to the Lord of the Rings, but Jackson was flying by the seat of his pants and I don't really place the blame with him.

As we start our rewatch of 90s Essentials, I started out with an easy one for the family as the rest my 15 year old can't really watch. Everyone enjoyed it though the whole plotline of why they tried to kill Richard which sets up the whole movie was a bit confusing for them. Harrison Ford's finger point acting is undefeated.

Is Emilia Perez actually decent? Most of the stuff I've seen on social media about it is making fun of the acting in it, mostly be Selena Gomez for having a terrible Spanish accent.

It seems to have a lot of support in the industry and festival circuit, where it's won a lot of awards, but in my opinion, no.

Audience reception is mostly mixed/negative, but it's largely hated by trans and Mexican audiences, the two groups the movie is about.

Zoe Saldana is great in it and the song “El Mal” is actually incredibly but everything else in it is just bad. Somehow incredibly uninteresting and dull and laughably horrible

I really enjoyed her performance and the idea but for me personally the film went way too far into the body horror aspect. Just not for me.

The extremity is largely why I thought it would never touch the Oscars, but here we are. Happy about it, tho, great movie.
