If it HAD fixed racism forever, we wouldn't have had to suffer from a Green Book best picture win 14 years laterYeah, but you have to give it credit for fixing racism in America forever!

Wait, they're rebooting Anaconda?!?!!
My favorite thing about the original Anaconda is when the anaconda regurgitates Jon Voight, which is hilarious to me.My favorite thing about the original Anaconda is that the director is the cousin of Nobel Prize-winning author Mario Vargas Llosa, which is hilarious to me.
Yup, rounds it up to a full Ei8ht.Did anyone go see Se7evn in IMAX? Curious if the experience adds anything.
Here's the thing though...
They didn't even need another new character! One of Rook's own lines sets up the idea that there is a whole line of synthetics like Andy. The ship could have simply had its own Andy in place of Rook. Jonsson clearly has the range to pull multiple characterizations. It could have played more strongly into the underused Romulus & Remus theming and added an element of tension if it becomes unclear which is one Rain's side and which one is secretly working on behalf of the company. The whole CGI revival thing was just gross, unneeded, and really misses the trick the could have been the Andy synths.
