nice article but i think it oversells the album pretty hard. it's enjoyable and pretty good in places, but it definitely isn't as advnturous or electrifying as jane's or even porno for pyros. there's another eric avery project, Polar Bear, which AFAIK only had a single release/appearance: A cover of Wire's "Being Sucked In Again" on WHORE: a Tribute to Wire, which as far as a tribute compilations go, is pretty great (godflesh, skinny puppy, lee ranaldo, my bloody valentine, bark psychosis, lush).

I thought it was a pleasant Sunday morning read. Definitely oversold the album. Then I realized it was a condensed version of 6 long essays on SubStack and I thought "dude, get a life"

I wasn’t sure where to post this, I hope this is the best spot.

I was recently laid off and decided to take advantage of the time and do something fun…outside of collecting records.

Which led me to creating Punk Alien Coloring Co.

Which are basically Coloring Books that contain music-themed stories (Seuss-y) involving aliens and whimsical creatures.

I know…weird…but this crew can at least get behind the music part.

Sorry about the layoff. That blows.

So, did you create these coloring books? or are you enjoying coloring these as a mindfulness/stress-reducing type of activity?
