Just got home from the Saints game and found this tank of a package waiting for me!

First, the beautiful wrapping job:

And then the beautiful selections:

Last year, @Krampus' #1 Diaper Baby started my dive into XTC and I ended up grabbing a good majority of their catalogue shortly after, but still hadn’t picked up Apple Venus Volume One. I haven’t heard much of it because it’s not easily streamable but know it’s great. Can’t wait to listen to it completely.

The Cure’s Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me; another classic record that I’m very excited about

And The Tubs’ Dead Meat, which tied as my favorite album of last year and I raved about every chance I could around these parts. I’ve only had it on cassette but it seems like a better “vinyl” album. This is so awesome to have now

No name of the Santa was included, but I’m going to guess that it’s @mucusoffmybrain based on the package’s origin. Thanks so much for such thoughtful picks!! Happy holidays!!

Santa, aka @Psymon , delivered some excellent selections for me this year.

First off is Thom Yorke's Anima which despite me having bought a few copies of this for friends as gifts over the years, I've never bought for myself. Perfect choice!

Second (but not least) is Joe Hendersons The Elements (that I wasn't familiar with at all) which immediately went on the turntable and got me hooked from the lead bass line. Right up the alley of a new discovery that I was hoping for and I'm really digging it as I'm writing this.

Wait, just hit the Violin solo on the first track. 🔥

I'm also pretty excited about the locally sourced coffee that came in the package as well. It smells excellent, and will be brewed up on Christmas morning.

Thanks @Psymon , appreciate the thoughtful curation that reminds me why this little corner of the internet is the best.

Great detective work! I realized I forgot to add my note after it was in the mail. I was surprised to not see that Tubs' album in your collection, but didn't think about the cassette. Apple Venus was an easy one after seeing the rest of your XTC collection - it was also a nod to @LeeVing They gifted me that album last year as well and really turned me on to XTC. Happy holidays!

Finally got power back yesterday afternoon, so I will finally be able to spin these awesome picks from my Secret Santa!

John Herbie Hancock was a big hole in my vinyl collection, and this one's a great start. I also almost grabbed this BBNG recently, but the Ghost of Christmas Present must have stopped me. Looking forward to some good listening sessions this week!

Thank you Santa, even though I haven't figured out who you are!

I thought the signature would be enough of a clue ;)
I am so happy you like them! Since you don't have a whole lot of jazz in your collection, I was a little worried that you might not like it. But Headhunters is one of my all-time favorites, I hope enjoy it!
