so it no lou reed
we are doomed
legit @Murfocakes that "it hasn't been guessed yet" hint has basically made this a wild goose chase
this is so fun
What'd I miss?so it no lou reed

What'd I miss?
ooohThat wipeout was before the Lou Reed guess. That comment made me go on a deep dive of early 80s album of the year threads which led to the Lou Reed guess.
oooh
i got the times wrong...
i thought lou reed was guessed a longer time than it was... not 2 days ago
I’m still debating whether to get the speakers corner one (which will lead to at least 4 others at pure pleasure) or just buy the standard which is supposed to be really good and @Mr Moore recommended...
I have both and will give both a listen to tell you what I say. I don't remember the standard being bad though, just that when I had the chance to grab the Speakers Corner one, I upgraded. I did the same with Patti Smith's Horses.
it can be my reward for doing so much work hereI'll PIF my extra Transformer if it's Lou Reed
Which is one of the other 4 that is currently in my basket at pure pleasure...
Hope you like it. It is so good!it can be my reward for doing so much work here
depending on if i like it, i will listen to it later today
You can't go wrong with Speakers Corner or Pure Pleasure records.

Would love to hear your perspective on Transformer. It’s a great pop album, Mick Ronson and Bowie do a great job producing and arranging it and Lou brought fringe groups to wider consciousness through these songs. Perfect Day is about heroin btw
So by that first verse am I to believe that he drank sangria in the park, went to the movies, and fed animals at the zoo all on H? I thought people on heroin didn't do much of anything.
You must have never read any Burroughs! So by that first verse am I to believe that he drank sangria in the park, went to the movies, and fed animals at the zoo all on H? I thought people oh heroin didn't do much of anything.
