Needles & Grooves Fantasy Hockey League

I have no idea how that went... like I was saying over there one of the big assets I used to look for was players with multiple positions and it looked like there were way way less.

Ended up with a ton of centers by going BPA near the draft middle. Happy with goaltending too. My D will suck as usual though.
 
I'm pleased with the team I drafted! I have a well balanced fantasy team which is what I was aiming for. Of course I didn't get to pick every player I was targeting but I got most and a few extras so I'll take it. Now bring on the regular season! 🙂

The thing I'm least happy about is that I have too many teams with multiple players... I prefer spreading them out a bit more. Good thing about that is that you can often fix that as the season goes along, especially with lower picks.

I'm just going to keep an eye on the waiver wire. I expect none.

That's not necessarily a bad thing though because of the line stacks e.g. Huberdeau and Lindholm plus your stacked between the pipes!

That's true! Plus I'm likely not dropping either of those. I don't have obvious outliers in my team either this year, compared to last so I'll have to wait and see how things shake out. Big difference picking with 10 participants over 12. D is my weakest, so most of my movement will likely come from there, but even then it's not as bad as last year.

I do love my goaltending. 🍻

You did pretty well I think. I'm playing you first week too. Not feeling good about that, but who knows. I do have your pal Rust. I wish your Pens all the best in the first week!

That being said. I secured the best defense possible at the 3rd pick imo. I wanted Saros to stack with Josi but love Oettinger as my G1 and don't mind rolling the dice on Jack Campbell as G2. Happy with most of the rest. Only picks I don't like of mine are PLD cuz I hate him but bit the bullet on a chance also not confident in Debrincat at Ottawa now but i panicked lol

Are you kidding me?! The Cat is going to produce like crazy playing alongside Giroux and Jimmy Stu! I know it's only pre-season action, but he netted two goals yesterday including the OT winner against the Habs!

I hope so lol! I hear Ottawa and immediately think dud but we'll see
 
I was later getting back in town than I expected so mine was another auto-draft. But I did remember to do some player rankings before I left. I have no idea how my team will be, but there will likely be some waiver-wiring in my future.
