As for the small business loan program being out of money. I have heard that it only worked for a few banks. Many banks only took applications, but were still dealing with issues with the system and the process rolling out. For those who never got past applications, no loans are coming from the Treasury.

What a disater.

My kids' preschool said their bank representative was handling 75 applications and theirs was the only one he was able to "process" before the money ran out, because he didn't have enough info and/or time for the other applicants.
 
I told my father about what Steve Mnuchin said and shared the actual video clip of him saying.

He says it's a deep fake. All news is fake news and they put the narrative out they want people to hear.

He says the truth is both Mnuchin and Trump want to get at least 2 more stimulus checks out as soon as possible.

Would love to see that, but not counting on it.
 
As for the $1200 stimulus, anyone who did a rapid return with their tax preparer are likely not going to see the refund anytime soon.

This is because tax preparers like H&R Block paid out instant returns for a fee and had the actual returns deposited to them.

So what is now happening is H&R block is getting a massive amount of deposits and has no way to track them who they belong too without doing an extensive audit.

I’ve always viewed that as a bad deal, now it’s a massive clusterfuck. Damn, just damn.

As someone who got caught in the check advance loop for a long time, part of me would like to agree with you, but at the same time those types of business services exist to satisfy a demand. While it may essentially be legal loan sharking, folks aren’t getting their legs broken by Vinnie because they’re short on the vig either. Check N 2 Cash may be unsavory, but they ain’t violent. If you get rid of them, I guarantee that role will be filled by folks more willing to break the law.
