Neverending Covid-19 Coronavirus

I really hope they get sued over this.

Boomer: Hey, I've got this video that shows that Fauci is engineering this to make money.
Boomer's Kid: Obviously, this video is a hoax. The person that released it has her own agenda and the video has been edited in a misleading way.
Boomer: Well fine! Stay ignorant then!
Perhaps moderators could refrain from using what has become a slur used to demean and mock older people.

LOL, you are too much sometimes. The term is not used to mock or demean anyone directly it is shorthand for Baby Boomer which is used to describe a generation of people. Similar to millennials or generation x, I get that you may not feel the generalizations are fair (they often aren’t) but the term itself is hardly derogatory.

Found this info about the “brains” behind the Plandemic conspiracy theory.

Sigh. I’m not promoting the video but I will say this response likes citation.

when someone at work puts me on front street , my response is kind but factual.

I see a lot of errors in this call back that I know to be errors based on having a family member show me said video. My point? Misinformation is still misinformation regardless of your stance. This isn’t directed at one person, but all of us.

we miss that often.

So you need a peer-reviewed article in Nature to believe or disbelieve the obvious? Got it.

I say that from a good place and hope it could be

I’m super bummed about the events in Georgia and so want this world to be better but I see no signs of that.

yikes.
im done here. I see the jump to conclusions mat has been rolled out.

The original video is not a factual source to begin with and does not require an exrtraordinary factual source to discredit it. It has no credit to begin with.

The conspirationists wouldn't accept the most credible completely factual source that counters it anyway.

This response was wrong and made the video look worse than it was / is. Truth matters. So I wrong video then claiming the video is wrong with more wrong info is a giant mess. Yes I see a big problem with this.

And I’m not here for hot takes. We think differently and that’s fine. Wild some of the statements you’re making. Agree to disagree.

What was misinformation in the Google summary?

Edit: oh did you mean the Facebook thing? If you're saying the anti-vaxxer thing is wrong then maybe you have a point, but if we are discussing science and Google tells me someone is an anti-vaxxer advocate, I think that's enough research for me.

Her husband was arrested 5 days and she had a gag order for 5 years. I believe the doc say she was not in jail for 5 years. K.

Also she claims to NOT be an anti vac in the video

Again , I’m not arguing for the video and it’s claims , I just don’t see how an incorrect response is helpful for an incorrect video. Should you argue stupid , with facts?

Shouldn’t you not assume anything ?

Sure, but if I were making a documentary that I wanted any skeptics to believe, I'd probably choose an expert in the field who was not associated in any way with anti-vaxxers.

No I’m not arguing science and never was.

I meant if someone sent me a "science" documentary that is about someone associated with the anti-vax movement, it is not worth my time to watch and certainly not worth me researching the validity of it. Like if my mom sent me that, my mom and I would be the "we." I agree with your point about assuming a long ranting list on Facebook is true though.

Makes sense enough.

I will say not all anti vaccine ppl are the same. The internet paints them as all the same. Personally I have a family member who’s child was messed up from vaccines. Factually proven and have spent around $100,000 collectively with various treatments and therapies. I’m not advocating you to be an anti vaccine person , and I’m not arguing science. I am saying you can lump all people in a category like that.

I’m only sharing that story due to it being a problem in a situation and I cane respect my family member with their choices going forward.

There is a big difference between an anti-vax advocate and someone who had an adverse reaction (however horrible) to a medical procedure choosing to abstain from participating in that procedure in the future. Unfortunately, unlike most medical procedures, this one happens to affect everyone we live near, instead of only oneself.

Anti-vax is not a reasonable movement. It is not the same as someone advocating for more safety or any changes to vaccines or something like that. I don't think it is a difficult argument to make that vaccines are perhaps the greatest medical advancement of modern history in terms of saving lives and throwing that out for any reason that isn't supported heavily by real science is dangerously misinformed. Spreading that misinformation literally has and will kill people.
