Neverending Covid-19 Coronavirus

Interesting -- wasn't one of the early theories that too much exposure to similar viruses was actually causing the immune system to overreact into the development of the cytokine storm? (If I'm comparing apples to oranges somehow, please explain to me like I'm 5.)

That was definitely one of the theories. But nobody really knows what causes the cytokine storm. Or the clots. Which may or may not be related.

I'd say, given the large number non-infected people they found with cross-reacting T-cells, if it was the case, there would be way way more deaths than what we already have. The numbers seem to correlate more with the number of "asymptomatics". Again, just a guess.

Is this the CanSino vaccine? This is one we are doing with China. We provided them with HEK293 cell lines with an adenovirus vector technology and they used it to express the vaccine antigen and did the Stage 1 safety trials. It passed. It was to start Stage 2 and we were going to do part of that stage in Canada. I think this is the most advanced one in the world so far. If it works, we will make it in Canada. We'll see. A lot of trials fail along the way. But they did observe good T-cell production in people during Phase I.

How COVID-19 deaths are counted has become politically divisive, with critics claiming the numbers are inflated and medical experts saying deaths may actually be undercounted. Still, the number of deaths is a crucial data point that informs public understanding of the pandemic’s severity and health officials’ response to the crisis.

The Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment is now clarifying that its death tally includes the total number of fatalities among people who had COVID-19, including those deaths in which the respiratory disease was not the cause of death listed on the death certificate.

It was a terrible risk to start with given the side effects and how bad the chance of death is with this drug. If it works, then you can make an informed decision based on the situation. But if you have no idea if it works, the risk was too great.

The only reason this got approval for emergency use was to appease Trump's ego. Nobody in the science and medical field except for a few quacks though it was a good idea to go ahead before knowing more.

I simply do not get why this is such an issue for people. Either wear the f'ing mask or find another place to shop or order online and have it delivered. Stop acting like you shouldn't be considerate of all those workers who are there day in and day out so your whiny ass can get "essentials". That's what annoys me the most about all this. You have a choice. It's to not shop there. If you feel they are violating your rights (laughable) then find some other alternative. But to berate, protest, and harass people in "essential businesses" because they're trying to keep their employees safe is the height of American arrogance. From the same lot that decries the snowflake, yet acts exactly like one. The fact these places have to put up with this is galling. I loved the cart cleaner because he rubbed salt in the wound just beautifully. Oh oh, but she's making this brave stand to get things back open so people can work again...like this guy who's a bartender who found a job and has a great attitude about it. We need more of him and less of her in this world.

Going back to "Karen's" argument there, I heard the same thing from my father.

He father is one who strongly believes that the requirement to wear a mask violates his rights and refuses to do so. Being required to wear a masks is unconstitutional and an overreach of government power that they do not have.

But I heard a new one from him last night.

He said I should join a few different class action lawsuit against different stores requiring customers to wear masks. Says there is a good chunk of money to be made and I'll likely be able to pay off my student loans. Also that the lawyers are going to make bank from all this.

He says any store requiring you to wear a mask is in violation of ADA once you notify them that you have a medical condition that prevents you from being able to wear a mask. Once you disclose that information they can not ask you about that medical information and if they do you are not required to prove personal medical information to them. Also that denying you access to to enter the store / business is discrimination of a disability.

Attorneys nationwide are filing cases about this now. While it's slow to get started right now as many courts have COVID-19 restrictions, things will get going once we open back up and every store in violation will be paying.

Apparently in the underground Q Anon sections of the internet he hangs out in, there is a directory of all the cases you can join against different stores / businesses.

I think this has to do with the clotting in the lungs that they found in certain patients. They couldn't explain it so they could have pinned it on past exposure, but now that children are developing this clotting issue too, I wonder if they abandoned this reasoning.
