I love the title of the Elle King album by the way.

A good run accounted for. I'm going to need February and March to pick it up if I'm going to have a top50 by December!

🔥
  • The C.I.A. - Surgery Channel [absurdly fun]
  • Mette Henriette - Drifting [beautiful, sweeping, luxurious, dazzling. Alabaster DePlume fans should enjoy]
👍
  • Boldy James x RichGains - Indiana Jones [perhaps a step down from others, I'll give you that. I still dig]
  • John Cale - MERCY [with a cavalcade of features, the songs usually work, but a few disappointing cuts. The ones with Weyes Blood and Laurel Halo are pretty cool. Tei Shi too?!?!?]
  • Imperium Dekadenz - Into Sorrow Evermore
  • Kali Malone - Does Spring Hide its Joy [won't listen to all five hours again, but it works much better in a work environment]
  • Oddisee - To What End
  • Bianca Scout - The Heart of the Anchoress
  • Ryuichi Sakamoto - 12 [this one demands revisits. Might move up]
🤷‍♂️
  • abracadabra - shapes & colors
  • Ché Aimee Dorval - The Crowned
  • Jadu Heart - Derealized
  • The Murder Capital - Gigi's Recovery
  • Dave Rowntree - Radio Songs
  • Tha God Fahim - Chess Moves
👎
  • Kelly Fraser - Sedna
  • Ladytron - Time's Arrow
  • Tribunal - The Weight of Remembrance
🤮

None.

I was really pleased with Mette Henriette as well!

Sakamoto is my current top release for the month.

I enjoyed it well enough at first and then it just kept getting better! Very impressive.

And I love the Alice Coltrane homage of a cover.
