Out of all the artists that have been cancelled I've been most impacted by Mark via Sun Kil Moon/Red House Painters. I have very nostalgic memories of listening to Ocean Beach with a friend driving through lake effect snow in eastern michigan back in 2013. "Lost Verses", "Have You Forgotten" and "Gentle Moon" are absolute masterpieces. It's really such a shame.

I sold all my SKM/RHP like a week after he was "cancelled" and I remember the guy on discogs messaging me saying "wow, thanks for selling all these at once" idk if he didn't know yet or was surprised I was selling them for less than retail.

Yes this was very nice! A blend of folk vocals and songwriting sensibilities with electronic to ethereal and haunting effect! A real gem
of an album! Think

U.S. Girls is another one that's just fine. I don't think I'm a big fan of very scattered albums with varying styles. There's some fun songs on here, but maybe too many features? "Bless This Mess" actually sounds A LOT like a Jenny Lewis song, I had to do a double take listening to it because she sounds so similar on that track in particular.

This is great friday night party music. Kinda ironic though that Luceros best album in over a decade is a basically a compilation of outtakes and leftovers. "One last F.U." is the best rock jam of year so far!

Yeah I'm looking forward to spending more time with it! Definitely enjoyed it more than I expected on a broken up distracted first listen while on the road today.
