Only have Kate NV - Wow to add to the list this week.

Quiet week for me unless I can dig a few more out in the next few days. I need to expand my sources!
I definitely recommend referring to weekly radar lists posted by @avecigrec , by @Bluecloud777 , @Hollywood , @Lee Newman , and myself (sorry if I've left anyone out) We typically post something each week and there is always plenty of diversity between our lists 👍

I’m personally excited about @jt4527 ‘s sources as he’s hitting not only stuff I’m unfamiliar with but stuff I’m not seeing elsewhere

Updated to add this one:

The past two weeks. Busy at work. Q1 list is rounding out nicely thanks to a couple of you.

🔥
  • Chasms - Glimpse of Heaven [beautiful, ethereal, wonderful. Like, perfect for a night drive. Thank you @Kris for highlighting]
  • Khotin - Release Spirit [first time I've listened to one of his in full, and now I have a new downtempo/ambient rabbit hole it seems]
  • Takashi Kokubo (小久保隆), Andrea Espreti - Music for a Cosmic Garden [Kokubo never fails to make environmental sensory magic]
  • Model/Actriz - Dogsbody [thanks, @musicjunkiegreg. This is the one RBF that was surefire excellent]
  • Ulthar - Anthronomicon [yayayay a metal album I love from this year! Very good and pummeling, with some timely situated ambient sections]
👍
  • Algiers - Shook
  • John Bence - Archangels [I might move this one up, very impressed on a second runthrough]
  • En Attendant Ana - Principa [thanks for this one also, @musicjunkiegreg. Might move this one up with more visits]
  • Fakear - Talisman
  • Gezan - あのち [weird, but oddly enjoyable?]
  • The Necks - Travel
  • otay: onii - 夢之駭客 Dream Hacker [freaky as fuck]
  • Ulthar - Helionomicon [also very good, but it can be a little overwhelming with the two tracks being ~20min each with no break to catch a breath]
🤷‍♂️
  • BIG | BRAVE - Nature Morte
  • Gorillaz - Cracker Island
  • Insomnium - Anno 1696
  • Seaming To - Dust Gatherers [with it being art pop, I wanted to like it so much more. It ended up sounding kooky and overdramatic for long segments]
  • Shame - Food for Worms [what? They (mostly) stopped with the talk-singing?!?!? They're dead to me now]
  • Snow Ghosts - The Fell
  • Sunny War - Anarchist Gospel [not for me. I recognize Allison Russell's talent plenty, but it's not for me]
  • Venamoris - Drown in Emotion
👎
  • Andy Shauf - Norm
  • Liquid Sound Company - Cosmic Worlds
  • Quasi - Breaking the Balls of History
🤮
  • U.S. Girls - Bless This Mess [a mess indeed. The transformation from the wonderful In a Poem Unlimited to this uninspired brand of synthpop is a gargantuan tumble in quality. Incredibly disappointing and unappealing]

EDIT: Added the album title for En Attendant Ana.

To each their own 🤷 because I love the retro funk and 80's R&B vibe of the album! Bless This Mess is another chapter of U.S. Girls' consistent evolution!
