Starting today with ALL HANDS_MAKE LIGHT and it does not disappoint--I'm currently a couple tracks in. @Rip_City I think you might like this one.
 
I don't know about this superviolet record y'all. It's like upbeat Phoebe Bridgers with a dude singing without all the effects. Would I like The Sidekicks, I never heard of them until I read the Stereogum review of the album just a minute ago.

I've listened to this one about 10 times already and it might be my AOTY (so far). However, I didn't realize upon first listen that it sounds A LOT like DIIV, in particular their first 2 albums. If you've been looking for more dreamy jangle in the vein of DIIV, this is it.

Hell yeah to this! It's easy one of my top 5 albums of the year. It's really amazing. Picture Of is my favorite track atm and I can't get enough of it. Ascents is also a beauty. I really liked their last album, but this one is a step up big time.

I want to get the record, but I'm hoping to find a US store who has it in stock to save on shipping. Let me know if you find it!

YESSSSS “Picture Of”, “Sterlizer”, and “Massif Central” are giving me big DIIV vibes. That guitar is classic Captured Tracks sound. Also “Perfect Blue” and “Kind of Blue” are some brilliant shoegaze dance tunes reminiscent of Radio Dept. almost.

I was a massive fan of their first album so I just paid premium for it from Canada when it was first announced. It was $40CAD total $15CAD shipping via bandcamp.

Listening right now. Thanks for this rec, I really, really enjoy it. Going to have to give it a few listens but it's really great.
