I like it a lot

Oy. I'll give it a listen. Freedom is one of my fave records of the last decade and I remember that one took a bit to reveal itself to me, but this one I just can't get behind the production.

It's more complex and layered than Freedom. His most experimental album thus far.

I’ve been slacking on listening to new music, but this is what I’ve been enjoying over the last couple of weeks.

Camera Obscura-Look to the East, Look to the West. Sleepwalking is my favorite track.

Shannon & The Clams-The Moon Is In The Wrong Place. This band doesn’t disappoint. The title track, So Lucky and Bean Fields are tops.

I gave a couple of tracks of Freedom a listen and I’m not sure his vocals are for me. It’s like mashing up David Gray, Conor Oberst and Dylan, but worse.

freedom and love are both great records, new one sounds like the kind of thing you release to get out of a contract

I know nothing about Amen dunes except my weird memory remembers that he did a video for VMP called Hi Fives - which @debianlinux won some contest or some other where he won all the records that Amen Dunes chose and he PIF'd that Roxy Music album that I claimed and still have. I have the worst memory ever, i don't know why i remember this.



I think i meant to check out his music but I actually never got around to it. This new album might be a bad place to start lol
