NHL Thread Because There Isn't An NHL Thread

Anything can happen in hockey because there's so much parity in the league. Any team can win on any given night during the regular season. During the playoffs it's a best of 7 series but even the highest seeded teams don't always win and gets eliminated from the post season. Factor that in with all the imponderables and hockey is one of the most unpredictable sport there is.
 
To go from that dismal season they were having to now this... I'm just happy they're taking it to the Flyers and not making it easy for them.

That said, it's not completely out of whack. The Habs were playing well until the injury bug hit in November. The depth was just not good enough to compensate. They haven't iced this group of players since that time in November. I still thought they'd have problems competing because they got rid of some of their line-up players (no game-breakers, but they'd be in the line-up, especially Scandella). But somehow, the kids (in particular Suzuki and Kotkaniemi) have really stepped up and are more than compensating. These playoffs are going to be great for their development.
