November 2021 Vinyl Spin Challenge Thread: High wind through the trees, falling November leaves, a weak sun hanging low, summer seems so long ago...

13. Song Title "Gone Til' November"

Murs x The Grouch - Thees Handz

First spin!

THESE hands are currently holding a baby who is hopefully on the comedown from a fussy day.

I bought this a couple of months ago, got it a couple of days ago and decided to save it for today's prompt. One of our friends moved over to Vancouver last year but comes back this way every few months and is happy to shuttle records when she does to skip shipping costs, so I keep my eye on a couple of shops for opportunities I'd otherwise miss. I don't know that I like the album enough to drop $20+ but this copy happened to go on sale for $12, brand new, so I couldn't not jump on it!

Be nice.

Sadie Hawkins

The opposite gendered folks in your lives have sick taste.

I asked my gf who said something fun, so I dug through her bin of records and found a catchy, all time classic about decidedly not fun times that sounds like a time. Pic to come!

Who is that?
Play an album by a solo female artist where a photo of them is not featured on the front cover. It's harder than it sounds!

This was pretty hard since I really don't have that many albums from solo female artists.

According to my Google search:
"Blues legend Chester Arthur Burnett served in the Army for two and a half years. He was part of the 9th Cavalry Regiment, famously known as “Buffalo Soldiers,” and part of the Louisiana Maneuvers in 1941 — the largest military exercise ever held in the US."
