I didn't even think we were "arguing," to be honest. I'm definitely not agitated - I'm in jokester mode - but there's no accounting for tone on the internet. Sorry, if that didn't land, either.

I do filter everything through weird layered analysis, though. The irony of your comment about the "thought experiment" is that I've obviously already done all that questioning of my own motivations and weighing effort against reward. Me dumping that out here wasn't targeted toward you, it's just already packaged up in my skull while I'm zipping around trying to find cheap box sets.
A) the 🤣 😆 make if fairly clear that you guys are having what the Brits would refer to as “banter”.

B) having seen you and @Nee Lewman genuinely go off on people on the internet before, this ain’t nothing. If you were really annoyed there would be at least a page and a half long reply with cited sources and @Nee Lewman would be ranting by posting hundreds of small replies many of which would be to his own previous replies. Slowly stitching together a patchwork of grievances that one would need to follow over several page to even understand what he is going on about.

You are not wrong

For the record, one of my favorite things is watching either of you guys reach an agitated state on a message board.

Just sit back and enjoy the fomentation of outrage.

You'll love this, then. The guy who photographed the box containing that bunk WU TANG album that Martin Shkreli bought recently sent his lawyers after me, because I posted about the project on my blog 11 years ago. They had my full name, home address, and screenshots from my website that they were using as "Exhibit B" in their documents. The law firm is the one that tracked down photographer Vivian Maier's distant relatives to establish her estate.

They were demanding an OUTAGEOUS amount of money to avoid litigation. You should see the letter I had to put together to make them drop that claim. This all went down last week.
