I've received boxes like that from Target as well as records sent in dedicated record sleeves - it's very hit or miss but Target is good with returns.

To be fair, the age group working Target probably doesn't even know what a record is, it might as well be a calendar, they don't know

Curious how many records were in that? In the past I have ordered in groups of 3s (or for box sets bought 3 and cancelled one or two). And most have arrived in actual record mailers or boxes within boxes. I just got a notification for 5 or 6 orders that have shipped so....fingers crossed!

also distribution centers seem to be a mixed bag. I've luckily not had any/many issues with Target orders. I know now that I said it though, one is bound to show up like that for me...

Everyone should own that Portishead record. Just be carefully though, the edges of those records are trimmed so sharp on that pressing you could chop up your dinner salad with those discs.
