Jeez.. First of many I bought is not starting out to great for me either.. First time ever the mailman forced fit a record into my mail slot (they have a bunch of big compartments they usually put them in and just leave a key for it in my mailbox). I'm pretty sure my mail box is about 11 inches wide so to get it in there he had to literally bend up all 4 corners to squeeze it in which amazon made easy in only a plastic bag and to top it off they put the amazon warehouse sticker right on the hype sticker when 95% of the rest of the area was clear.. It's almost like they put effort in the ridiculousness of it all.

The record itself looks unsurprisingly a bit warped from a quick eye test but all in all this ones probably going back.. I got my phone coming on Saturday which is the only thing I am truly worried about as the rest of the stuff was just a game of risk that I was hoping to get a couple things worth keeping out of the bunch. Everything else after that is coming next week so it's going to be exciting to see what a full week in transit will look like 😬
Fawk.
If it aint amazon, it's the postal guy/girl.

I would leave him a nice little note. LoL

At this point I’m fully expecting my “good condition” Nirvana box to come bare with a mailing label slapped directly on it…

You misunderstand. It'll be in a box way too big for it with the big Amazon Warehouse sticker slapped directly on it.

Touche Amore' Fans (and lets be honest - who ISN'T a Touche Amore fan?)....and 7" collectors, here's a mystery bundle deal for you

I've had 4 come in: Mdou Moctar's "Afrique Victime", "Pop The Clutch" a rockabilly collection, Zappa's Fillmore East 3-LP 50th anniv limited edition, fela box #5. all were OK-to-excellent visually -- Mdou Moctar has the rear cover looking like it's been rubbed on the floor a while, but other than that they all look decent. I have yet to spin any of them, but I am vaguely hopeful they will sound ok

My Warehouse ”very good” Art Pepper+Eleven arrived today. It was in its original corrugated single LP mailer that was itself inside an Amazon polybag. The cardboard had been torn open, crudely taped back, and had an Amazon “inspected” sticker on it.

Album inside was . . . still sealed! Very minor bend on one corner of the sleeve is the only discernible issue I can find. It’s flat and plays great. So I got lucky playing Warehouse Roulette. $18 for a new copy.

I basically had the same excluding the cardboard. It was a miracle to arrive unscathed.
But really happy with this $18 grab in the end.
It's a great LP.

that is a real bummer! this is one of the ones I was considering and when I went back for it, was gone

You dodged a bullet! I almost grabbed that copy of Pop The Clutch you got as well.. Seems like you just have good taste sir.

I will say though that I bought a phone from the Warehouse sale which was a bit scary but it def. payed off and came in great condition and well packaged so i'll happily accept the Buck Owens loss if that was the sacrifice needed.

Right now I'm rocking the BB King "Indianola Missisippi Seeds" 50th anniversary from the sale and there was a bit of sticker residue on the cover and there's the teensiest noise on the first track but so far the rest of it is immaculate. fantastic record for $12 or whatever it was

Edit: aaaand my bill Evans at montreaux has a scratch on the first track of both sides, motherfucker

That Bill Evans saw you getting a little too hyped about your good experience and said...

.....accurate.

sonic youth in/OUT/in has a beat-to-shit cover but the vinyl is immaculate. weirdly the vinyl itself is really heavy and the edge is completely flat, like someone was REALLY concerned that no one would grab the record and be like "oh this is too sharp!" and just took a knife to it

My Nevermind box set arrived today. To my surprise, it was double boxed; the outer box contained some crumpled up paper and no other filling, so the inner box must have bounced all over the place. To my surprise, however, the inner box was beautifully padded and perfectly fitted to the box set:

As a result, my Nevermind box arrived intact except for one very minor corner rip. I still have to check all the records for warps or factory defects, but so far this goes down as a warehouse win!

(I did spin the studio album and must say there is absolutely nothing exciting about the mix. I’ll definitely be holding on to my Pallas pressing.)

I don’t think this pressing is bad and would be good enough for me…if I didn’t own the BG Pallas pressing which is still slightly better. I did swap out the Stoughton jacket though. I still might grab the box set if I can get a good deal on it.

I have the Reading and Paramount shows, but am very interested in hearing the ones in this set too. I wish they'd break them out, but I know it's unlikely.
