Online Vinyl Deals

I don't know anything about DMX, but these two albums on colored vinyl at $20 for both looks like a solid deal

how do you not know anything about DMX one of the biggest rappers of the '90s, are you not a fan of '90s Hip Hop or live under a rock?

I don't listen to hip-hop really? Any hip-hop that I know, I either discovered through VMP or on the radio. And I wasn't alive in the 90s, so there's that.
i wasn't alive in the '60s,'70s wasn't born until the mid '80s but i have a vast enough knowledge of music from before my birth.but to each their own i guess, not necessarily aimed at you but my main issue with people born in the '00s or after is they think music from past eras of music are some how irrelevant and "uncool" to listen to and this "new music" is so cutting edge pushing genres and music in new creative directions that people have never heard before lol.first music i ever really got into as a kid was classic rock a time period well before my time.alright end of my old man rant again this comment is not aimed at you in particular.

I mean, I listen to a ton of music from the 60s-90s, and I like a lot of it more than today's music. But obviously, if I wasn't around then, and I'm not listening to a certain genre, then I won't know everyone who was big in that genre at the time. Same thing on the old forum when I didn't know 3FHAR prior to it being mentioned in the ROTM guess thread. I listen to mostly rock and metal, though I'm trying to branch out into other genres, hip-hop included.

I think expanding your musical horizons is a fantastic thing. When I was in my teens, I was like you, wanting to hear the “classics” I was unfamiliar with, or the latest music to make waves. There is so much in music to appreciate, and to start at such a young age is commendable.

It's definitely a fulfilling experience. I have 4 VMP Classics releases now, and they're some of my favorite records that I own! There's a shit ton of music out there. Maybe too much lol

if you have not already any of the two Digable Planets studio albums would be worth checking out for the diversity the Hip Hop genre has to offer.

My favorite hip hop/rap records from the 90’s are The Low End Theory by A Tribe Called Quest and Fear Of a Black Planet by Public Enemy. Chuck D is the best rapper of all time, IMO.

I'm a big Liquid Swords fan, myself. I also love Midnight Marauders, because I was on a lot of "stuff" and listened to that on repeat, so... it's part of my brain chemistry now. The Low End Theory is undeniable, though.

So is "Burn Hollywood, Burn"
