I actually loved living in Iowa and Colorado more than living in Georgia. But there's shitty places all over this country. Good and bad to be found. Lots of worse places to live than where I've been. The part of Michigan I'm from didn't do much for me. Detroit was awesome when I was a kid, then got really shitty for decades and now it's cool again. Portland was great when I lived there but most my friends who are still there don't love it as much anymore. Tennessee had a lot that sucked, but Knoxville has gotten pretty cool too despite the state sucking hard. That's fine. We don't want you either. I suppose it does suck having a wealth of excellent shows seven days a week in all genres, plenty of fresh water and of course, no earthquakes, hurricanes or DeSantis/Trump.
Back on track - looks like Blue Note's 30% sale is back on today for all vinyl if any of you have any money left.
One day I am going to make it to Big Ears!Knoxville has gotten pretty cool too despite the state sucking hard.

I am originally from Central IL and while I harbor no Ill will and applaud your vigorous defense of the Midwest there are plenty of tornadoes and Trump supporters in my former neck of the woods. That's fine. Personally, I would rather be chilling on South Beach in January than bundled in a parka getting the bottoms of my pants covered in icicles while scraping the frost off my car windows.

Good memory. You got the two main ones. I went to a school that isn’t there anymore - Marycrest. Got bought, sold, parted out by an international company unfortunately.I Am trying to remember what school is over there. St. Ambrose or Augustana?

Madison's probably not too far of a drive for you then. We get a pretty good variety of shows these days, getting close to on par with Milwaukee. If you ever see a show you want to see (and don't want to deal with Chicago), let me know and I'd definitely be down to join you!Davenport, so even closer. Shoot over 74 and up.
