Ticked off one of the Melburnian rights of passage yesterday, and had a day the MCG for the Boxing Day test cricket. Great fun, and a good excuse to hang out with friends and drink beer all day.

Last time I was at the MCG I watched Carlton get their asses handed to them by Essendon... the two dudes in front of me were the funniest MFers I've ever heard and honestly you could have sold tickets just to hear them rip the teams, the ref, the sky, pretty much anything. They were worth the price of admission alone, I love Aussie fans...

It's a very different experience than UK soccer fans, that's for sure. Always good fun. They ran out of beer yesterday, which was frustrating!

Took an hour drive down the coast, and saw McWay Falls and spent some time among the redwoods...

We have a friend who is a fireman. He worked a local fire the other day in San Diego and got this pic of a water drop that was too good not to share. The fire threatened a bunch of houses, but was put out without any property damage thankfully.
