I don't disagree with you, but we are going to hear the same shit that gets a Fox News guy at the head of the Defense Department and what is Real World guy gonna do? And they aren't gonna fire him over this because it is his first day!

The MAGA people won't change their minds because as @RenegadeMonster and The Daily Show have repeatedly shown us, when you show them the truth, they will say its a hoax or that there is a plan or some other bullshit. We live in a world where facts don't matter.

Trump is blaming other people, his followers are blaming Biden so it’s business as usual.
 
Tragedies like this plane crash are exactly why you need a competent government that hires and retains the best people. I don't think this will be the last tragedy like this that we see especially if the administration is putting enormous pressure on competent people to leave their jobs. The same people who decry DEI and how people are getting positions without merit are installing sycophants who exactly meet the criteria of people who are getting positions not based at all on merit. But they won so they don't care.
 

Listening to the ATC recording tower, they told the helicopter to pass/follow behind the CRJ. That is super common practice that has happened for a long time, everywhere, when it’s clear out to help reduce the workload of ATC. This came down to pilot error of the helicopter either not having traffic in sight and saying they did or getting confused with what ATC said. The collision avoidance system never went off. This was a devastating tragedy.

It is “premature to speculate on root cause” of the deadly collision between a regional jet and helicopter near Reagan National Airport, the head of the National Air Traffic Controllers Association said in a letter to its members posted online.
“We will wait for the National Transportation Safety Board to complete its work and use that information to help guide decisions and changes to enhance and improve aviation safety,” NATCA President Nick Daniels wrote, noting that he cannot yet comment on specifics.

DISCLAIMER FOR THE CHAMBER: Talking to a former pilot who doesnt like Trump, said this was pilot error by the helicopter pilot. He had clear instructions and made a devastating mistake


People died. Families are devastated. That is the issue.

EDIT: According to the pilot I am speaking to, collision avoidance (TCAS) is automatically turned off below 1,000 feet because there is reasonable expectation to be close to other aircraft, especially helicopters, as you get close to terminal environments.
