Also, please carry on. I thought DeJoy was the governor of some state for a moment.
Sullivan is a federal judge in DC. Last night he ordered USPS to sweep for ~300k missing votes. They have failed to do that, or even act like they want to. Judge Sullivan is quoted as saying "someone may have to pay a price for that."What state is this and what exactly is going on?
Teddy Roosevelt attempted to do this too. He stepped down an the election went to his successor Taft but Roosevelt soured on Taft and then ran as part of the Bull Moose party but was unsuccessful. Fun Fact about Taft: after serving as President he then served as a the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.Cleveland! That’s who I was trying to remember. Thanks for the rundown

I mean the cat was named after the PresidentFun fact. It still amuses me to this day that we had a president named Garfield.
I mean the cat was named after the President
James Abram Garfield was the 20th president of the United States, serving from March 4, 1881, until his death by assassination six and a half months later. He is the only sitting member of the United States House of Representatives to be elected to the presidency.
The cat is named after Davis's grandfather, James Garfield Davis (who was probably named after former U.S. President James Garfield). It debuted in 1978 in 41 US newspapers.
Sorry I meant after as in chronologically. As in post President Garfield’s existence.Wow, so no other sitting member of the House of Representatives has ever been elected president?
Also, it's not so clear cut that Garfield the cat was named after Garfield the President.
But remember, those rules can always be amended if any particular party gains the trifecta. I’m actually surprised Trump didn’t try and do this during his term in office. If he gets a second term, he may well try and push this through. No they changed the rules after FDR to where you can't be president more than 8 years. Two terms, that is it.
Unite...my way!Man, there were so many conservative friends and family on social yesterday night calling for our nation to unite.... but now they seem to be so hostile. Weird.
Unite...my way!
I am on board...Grover must be named after the president. I am actually related to Frances Folsom Cleveland who was the youngest first lady if we're getting into extremely exciting presidential trivia.
Shouldn’t be.I've been thinking about this too. Some people did the same with Trump in 2016. Voted for him for President but then voted Dem in other races because they wanted to "keep him honest" with checks and balances in congress. It really doesn't work like that though. That's just an inefficient government.
