No. Maybe that makes me a weird Democrat, but no.
I'm not from America (but this is interesting world news), so don't really understand American culture. TBH I think most right wing conservatives here would think banning hand guns would be a good thing, you don't need hand guns for hunting. I don't think I would ever understand gun culture in America.
Edit - TBH I don't think I would ever understand Trump either

I’ll let a more eloquent member speak on the long and storied history of America and guns.
For me, it comes down to self defense and wether you feel like you need it for not. I’d love to feel like I don’t need a handgun to protect my family but my nunchuck skills are rusty. I’m 100% in favor of gun reform and AR bans though.

If we are talking about guns and the 2nd Amendment I'll chime in.
I have no problems with guns. I don't want anyone's guns taken.
I want better regulation of guns....same rules from one state to the next in how guns are purchased.
I want some types of guns to be banned...like AR-15's.
Yeah...they are fun to shoot...but they are only meant to kill humans. You aren't going to go hunting with a AR-15 or a Kalashnikov.
A handgun or shotgun are perfectly adequate for home protection.
