Political Discussion

We are up to 6 failed votes for McCarthy so far. :ROFLMAO:

Will today be the day he throws in the towel, or do we expect him to eventually get elected as speaker of the house?
I am not McCarthy fan but given a choice between him or Jordan, I am going with McCarthy. The freedom caucus, whatever that means, is hell bent on their stupid power trip. These jackasses will shut the government down later on this year over the budget and I will not be one bit surprised if they make us default on our debt just to prove a point. They don't want to govern, they just want to have a pissing match.

...run by counts, got it.

This makes me wonder if both race and being a reporter factored into this incident. My gut says yes.

A reporter was interviewing Chase Bank customers outside the bank. The bank never asked the reporter to leave after he identified himself as a member of the press when they questioned what he was up to. Instead, they just went back inside and called the police. When the police arrived, they didn't ask the reporter to leave, they just cuffed and detained him.

It irks me that in response to whether or not this violated the reporters first amendment rights, the police department simply answered with the "incident occurred on private property" almost as if that voids the first amendment rights.
