How is it that these people continually refuse to realize that almost every single one of their stances/reactions puts other people than their target directly on the line? How expensive is health insurance without getting it through work? Well, I just ready a story that puts it into perspective.
For one person there is only one option available to them in their area on the healthcare marketplace. This plan costs more than $1,000 a month for a family of 4. Each person has a deductible of $7,000 and nothing is covered until the deductible is met and total family deductible of $14,000. So either $14,000 for the whole family plan, or $7,000 on the individual the claim was against needs to be met for the insurance to pay anything.
This pretty much has made basic health care unaffordable and benefits only used in the case of an absolute emergency. And the insurance company is pretty much just collecting pure profits in premiums.
This is complete bull shit in my opinion and should be illegal.
