Pre-Order Thread

Yea--I'm glad that he had the option for a US and a UK store purchase! US shipping was $5. I almost grabbed Buck as well but held off. I really need to dive deeper into his discography. I've loved everything I have heard so far. I spin Wooh Dang all the time.
Sadly shipping to Canada is stupid. It would be $70Cdn for the record and shipping. I will just grab the digital files on the next bandcamp Friday.

@Lee Newman
Instabuy--from the website:

My People is an exuberant homage to the sounds of the Mardi Gras Indians - a group predominantly made up of New Orleans' African American community which pays respect to the area's Native American tribes with their wardrobe, music and dialect. Packed with a vivid assemblage of New Orleans sounds and stories, this new Cha Wa record infuses the traditional chants of the Mardi Gras Indians with grooves reminiscent of a ‘70s New Orleans funk band like The Meters (particularly on offerings like “Wildman” and “Bow Down”) and takes clear influence from the city's rich history of jazz, R&B, hip-hop, rock, soul and African-inspired arrangements (including a chilling cover of Bob Dylan’s “Masters Of War” in this style).

Maybe I can play this, shimmy into my sequined dress, and pretend that parades are happening this year.

Sounds really good. I think free shipping will convince me to order this one as well.
