Pre-Order Thread

New TTL variant of Khruangbin Con Todo El Mundo. Looks nice.

This was a much more pleasant experience than the Beach House Exclusive where they told ya it was “coming soon” but not exactly when. I didn’t know this was dropping and I was still able secured a copy. All the joy, none of the anxiety.

Thanks!

I don’t have any Khruangbin, so I jumped on this too. Honestly I’m surprised they aren’t sold out.

I don’t think they promoted this at all. I am on their mailing list and they never sent any hype building emails. Haven’t checked their twitter recently though maybe they promoted on social media. I mean people are Khruangbin crazy, everyone flipped out over a dub remix album so you'd think this would go super fast had they promoted it.

New dark synth album from Night Sins up for preorder through Funeral Party records.

First press is three variants: 100 each of clear blue or silver, 300 black.

Love Wilco, but at times, it seems they just throw items out there with outrageous prices just to have a laugh at all those with the disposable income that feel the need to have items with the name Wilco attached to them. As a long-time fan, I do find it opportunist, although I certainly don’t knock those that purchase the stuff. To me it takes the luster off their music, their art form, and makes me see them more as just another money generator. A Random Money Generator...

I read the album announcement when I was randomly listening to Summerteeth tonight. When I saw the $500 price tag and read Jeff's intro mentioning the existential dread that we seem to have to deal with on a daily basis, I honestly thought it would include some sort of donation to a cause that the band found worthy. Nope. For $500, you get a book that sounds like a fancier version of the "Elmo goes to the potty" book that my kids read, where you can open the panels and spin the wheels and find the toilet paper and make the sink run. Its cynical and tone-deaf. I have such an emotional history with this band, they've essentially been the soundtrack to my relationship with my wife for the last 15 years -- it feels silly, but I'm so disappointed in them for doing this and in myself for letting them mean that much to me. Which sucks.
