Pre-Order Thread

In all seriousness ,I think the Pumas thing is funny. Obviously the worst if you do try to get all of them but if cost/timing/resources are the same for black vs. colored vinyl, it's just giving new buyers a lot of fun options and retailers something to push. Now, if it turned out that there would be a material effect on production delays or cost or whatever related to it that'd shift me a bit but I don't feel it's a lot different than other artists pressing like, 10k copies of their album all in black resource wise, just better for consumers who want one.

The deluxe/regular split annoys me more.

Not sure what started this, but if it is the Santa Claus cover, I’m quite sure it’s not new artwork. I bought an Amyl and the Sniffers from Bullmoose that had the same generic looking Santa image and it was just a gold variant of their self titled album with original cover. It’s still there.

so what you`re saying is that i should cancel my order ?

With all this Puma talk I can’t stop thinking about Red vs Blue

Take some Adderall and study for a midterm? That was how I got into IDM music.

I have to admit I’ve never heard this record, not even on CD.

So the Aphex Twin Selected Ambient Works 85-92 arrived today from TTL. This pressing is immaculate. I'm on side C and so incredibly happy that such an important album has been properly pressed. And I'm alone at home at the moment, so I can play it loud :)

Not sure really where to post this but it is a pre - order of sorts so I thought I'd post it here! In 2020 / 2021 I wrote and compiled a book about record collecting, interviewing other record collectors around the world. The first edition of the book sold out instantly and now a second edition is available to pre - order.

When a global pandemic hit the world in 2020 and everyone on the planet was forced into a lockdown, an idea grew about talking to record collectors about their collections. Reaching out to vinyl enthusiasts on Instagram, I talked to 50 collectors about why vinyl records are so special to them and why they are so addicted to collecting vinyl!

Snippets of these interviews have been shared online but I can now announce that all interviews will be shared, in full, with over 700 colour photographs in a must have, 450 page coffee table book.

The book will be printed on soft touch 150gsm silk paper with a laminated soft touch cover.

Books will start shipping as soon as they have the print run is complete with the estimated arrival being October 2021.

Warp does a great job with their Vinyl. Usually they sell for around $20 and all sound superb. I wish more labels would follow suit.
