Pre-Order Thread

There isn’t a visible one. Next to the cigarette lighter thing, that doesn’t have a lighter in it these days, is a USB and there’s a USB C in the arm rest. I can’t think where else there would be one.

PS it does make me chuckle that we’ve kept plugs in cars based on a technology that was originally for lighting smokes!
Some cars have it hidden in the center console.

In Kansas City, car thieves typically flee the scene when they realize the truck they just broke into is a stick and they have no clue why there's 3 pedals.

Honestly given the stupid amount of technology and tracking in these modern cars I don’t think I’d bother. It took me ages just to figure out how to stop mine texting me anytime it was unlocked…

Steal the oldest simplest manual car that no one is following you in…

In all seriousness, even though automatics are much more prevalent, if someone here says they have an automatic only licence they get a quizzical and slightly pitiful look from people.

Automatics are so boring to drive, snooze fest. Nothing quite like dropping a gear when you need a kick. Also, like sharp steering, much better suited to our tight, and often twisty, roads!

Have you tried an electric yet? Almost gave me whiplash the first time I mashed the accelerator to the floor.
I guess the steering would be make/model dependent though.

I am really thinking the vinyl bubble is about to burst. No way most collectors are going to continue paying $50 for each release. At least most of the artists I like are still in the $20-25 range thankfully.
I can't believe I spent over $50 with shipping on the purple from his website. I was pleasantly surprised to see tix for his shows at Union Transfer in Philly are only $30 (plus fees)

That's why I drive an '07. It doesnt have all the extra gadgets and shit I don't need. It does have airbags and power windows though! Granted the window motors are soon going to fail.

No, I wanted one this time but passed because getting a charging point in my apartment car park space was a legal and logistical nightmare. Hopefully that will have been cut through the next time I go to get a car. But yes, no gears and all the power all time sounds like a lot of fun. I can dig no gears, just not a computer changing the ones that are there rather than me.

Yeah I had an 05 until it went up in a plume of smoke last September! With used car shortages here at the moment buying used doesnt make any sense.

I'll never go back to a gas powered vehicle - unless WWIII/the apocalypse forces me back.

Its incredibly responsive and more fun to drive than any gas vehicle I've driven. But I haven't been in a McLaren either
