My Rilo Kiley Rankings from listening to entirely too much Jenny Lewis/Rilo Kiley with the Jenny Lewis Projects interspersed - the gaps are small on most of these and IMO there's not a bad album in the bunch - full lengths only because if you get me into singles this'll be a project. I left out the Postal Service because I saw it as more of a Gibbard project but Give Up would be pretty high

1. More Adventurous
2. The Execution of All Things
--Rabbit Fur Coat
--The Voyager
3. Take Offs and Landings
--Jenny and Johnny (I'm a sucker for it)
--Nice As Fuck
--On The Line
4. Rilo Kiley EP
5. RKives
--Acid Tongue (just a taste thing)
6. Under the Blacklight
I don't think I've ever heard that 'Jenny and Johnny' album.

I saw Jenny Lewis solo once wher she brought out Johnathan Rice for about half the songs.

I saw Jenny & Johnny live too, which was great.

I'm a real sucker for Switchblade in particular.

I can't speak to their live dynamic (missed that show), recording wise, I dig the energy of the whole release and the bit of edge on it. It felt like, maybe, her only release that had that it's-just-us-eff-the-rest romance style tone to it. I think others would probably skew it lower but it's the one I go to when I feel like I need Jenny Lewis on a drive.

I think others would rank it lower than I did - it did lack the social consciousness and, IMO, emotional vulnerability a lot of people love Rilo Kiley/Jenny Lewis for, but to me? It just works mannnnn. :)

This goes live on Friday.

Prices are right in line with all other ALC drops, as crazy as that sounds. Actually surprised the Obi copies are as cheap as they are.

It's up now, if'n you want it. They have two variants, Piggy and Kermit.

If you're going to dive into Jenny and Johnny, I'd probably recommend the CD of their main album and if you want it on wax, get their live Third Man. You'll spend a quarter of what a used copy of their one studio album costs, get to play J&J in the sun or car or where it feels best, and on wax you get most of their best tracks (sadly Switchblade wasn't in the cards) but you get a good cover and a good Jenny Lewis live track in exchange.

@Lee Newman I know at one point you were pretty consistent in buying single lock releases.
