I hate pre-orders that are for absurd time frames. I don’t feel like giving Warner Music a $40 loan. If it’s still around come January I will grab it. I don’t wanna have to use a spreadsheet to keep track of preorders.

Death is probably the most notable (to my mind) -- and there's a solid argument to be made that the genre is named after them. But yeah, lots of notable bands. deicide, obituary, death, cynic, atheist, morbid angel, cannibal corpse (although they're snowbirds, they relocated)
