Pre-Order Thread

This is a strange listing, is it new to bandcamp or something? I say that because it has the appearance of a new release, with only a couple tracks being available to listen to (as if they are singles), even though it's from 2003. I was expecting to open the link and find a deluxe edition, or 20th anniversary edition.

This album is what made me stop caring about album reviews from pitchfork. They gave it a sub 4. I was mad about that for a while, then I let go … ;)

EDIT: my bad, this is a 20th anniversary reissue. "first time it will appear on Heavenly vinyl." I'm not familiar with Heavenly vinyl, do they make great quality records?

Looks like a single LP version of the 2021 CB cut of Deja Vu by CSNY drops on July 29
If it's the Bellman cut it's absolutely killer. Highly recommend it. I caved and got a used copy of the deluxe one a few months ago for a good price and spin it a lot.

I agree, this album is superb, my favorite of theirs. I give that pitchfork review 1.1 out of ten for being stupid and pretentious. So because a song refers to blonde on blonde, it's automatically bad? The song is nothing like dylan and is lovely, regardless of the lyrics, which are an homage. Rock and roll has always cribbed from its past, and that's ok, the question is does it do it well? What a superficial and pointless critique.

And Heavenly vinyl? I mean, that's gotta be really good, right?

EDIT: Heavenly appears to be a UK label that has been using GZ recently.

Is there anything (content-wise) new and exciting here or just that they changed labels and are reissuing it?

So that Stones in Mono set. The listing is pulled and I just checked my orders and it was deleted - not cancelled - without an email. I just was curious and logged in to view my orders…and nothing.
