Retention. They have to be aware by definition the fad buyers won’t last forever. If they can retain 2/3 of their customers at this price point, they’re going to have to up their game on quality and a tip-on sleeve only gets them part way there.

I actually think that a big part of the problems that customers are having is that there is an apparent tension in the company between the curatorial, the lack of experience and a desire to make as much money as possible as quickly as possible and damn the consequences.
