From my experience with new vinyl, as many as I can stand to clean in a day.Side note for the "Guru" crowd, how many albums are you getting per tank before replacing with clean water?
TIA

Someone recommended upgrading the filter @Hemotep maybe, to an aquarium level grade. Still need to do that, as I've found my filter gets pretty grimy even after a couple used records. From my experience with new vinyl, as many as I can stand to clean in a day.
For used or dirty records, you might just want to keep an eye on the water and trust your gut.
Same as it ever was. He's got a lot of poorly informed opinions about a LOT of things and he's ready to TALK AT EVERYONE ABOUT THEM

It was a big upgrade for me. I use the water polishing filter that filters out very fine nano particles and it not only made my water cleaner but it kept little fuzz and such from being on my records post cleaning.I think it’s more that that’s cheaper and more available than the replacements direct from HumminGuru than it’s an upgrade if I remember corrrstly.
Got an Amazon link by chance? It was a big upgrade for me. I use the water polishing filter that filters out very fine nano particles and it not only made my water cleaner but it kept little fuzz and such from being on my records post cleaning.

Sweet, that’s what I was gravitating toward. Any reason to go 200 microns?
The 50 micron is actually the one that traps the finest particles. That's what I went with. The 200 is probably good enough, but I wanted it to filter as much of whatever it's dissolving as possible.Sweet, that’s what I was gravitating toward. Any reason to go 200 microns?
I have one cat that now knows when i am pouring the water into it and either hides under a blanket or goes out...no idea how he equates the pouring water to the hissing sound....old and wise?....he is 12...the other 2 are 3 years old and they could care less.Mostly just wanted to confirm whether cats freak out with ultrasonic noise. I don’t need an HG but it might make cleaning records whole WFH a lot easier
Any cleaner (that does not damage) is better than not cleaning. My Humminguru has left the RD-V sitting in the corner unused for over a year now.Thank you for the input!
I am still looking at the pros and the cons. With the Hummingguru I know it dries for you, but if I were to go for the Vevor I know that I would have to air dry which would attract more dust no?
I am trying to look at longevity for my records and I have been putting off getting a better cleaner than my spinclean for a while!
After my first few records with the HumminGuru today, I fear my RCM is going to take a back seat in the cleaning department. Really convenient, easy and effective. My only negative, the "spout" on the water tank is useless.............nit picky at best.Any cleaner (that does not damage) is better than not cleaning. I’ve got the old one, and assuming they didn’t really change the design on that in this one, it’s definitely a headache and you have to get creative to get all the water in there successfully. After my first few records with the HumminGuru today, I fear my RCM is going to take a back seat in the cleaning department. Honestly, using the corner of the container to pour works better than the actual "spout" part of it.I’ve got the old one, and assuming they didn’t really change the design on that in this one, it’s definitely a headache and you have to get creative to get all the water in there successfully.
But then you don't filter the water between cycles.Honestly, using the corner of the container to pour works better than the actual "spout" part of it.
Ooh, so when the water is returned automatically, it does not return back through the filter, but through those holes. Now that makes sense. But I've found that water easily seeps through the cracks of the container, so that's also really unfortunate that it's re-introducing dirty water back into the basin. I think I just need to clean the basin more often, how are you doing that, just a microfiber towel with the little wand thing? But then you don't filter the water between cycles.
