I know right! Those two names are very reputable, especially Kevin Gray! I just finished spinning Camille Yarbrough’s The Iron Pot Cooker which sounded amazing! It was mastered and the lacquers were cut by Kevin Gray but it was pressed at Memphis Record Pressing (MRP). It was a bit of a gamble, but the record was very quiet, flat and didn’t have any pops! It was a dynamic, incredible sounding pressing - highly recommend picking that one up
@Mather ! It seems to be one of those AAA Craft Recordings Kevin Gray reissues!
My local was selling the Bill Evans for AUD$85 which is a very good price, considering it’s a RSD release of a 2LP, RTI pressing ! I was so close to buying it but then thought, “what if its a noisy pressing, the music won’t be loud enough with instrumentation and vocals to cover it”! Gonna wait on other people to report if they got good sounding quality copies, especially
@Selaws, before pulling the trigger on a copy!
I would love to own this because I listened to the music briefly on Spotify and really enjoyed it and I love my MOFI One-Step pressing of Portrait in Jazz and AP pressing of Bill Evans Love At The Montreux Jazz Festival! Would be great to pick up some more Audiophile Bill Evans!
