Sooooooo it's almost one AM, September 9 in the UK, so I hope this won't be considered jumping the gun.
I'm having a new console installed and I'll have to disconnect my turntable for the day.
Anyway.
I don't think this album is shit, it's meh and it is (for me) the undisputed blemish on what was a perfect discography.

Ok, so the musicianship on this LP is great. But those grunts. They're so prominent and distracting. I haven't decided if they completely ruin the record for me or if they're utter brilliant and elevate the music with their charm.

Albert Ayler - Something Different !!!!!! (Bird Notes, 1986 Japanese Pressing)
Ayler is always a difficult one to me. His music is the harshest and most 'free' that I probably have in my collection and I really do have to be in the right move to fully absorb it. Its certainly not something you would put on for some light background music.
