It wasn’t just any u2 album , it was songs of innocence lol
 
Welp, I just had a chat with one of the employees at my local about the 30th Achtung Baby.
Said it's on order but there's no stock anywhere so he thinks it'll be pushed back. Wonder if this is going to be a widespread issue or will it just affect some of the smaller record stores.

They would've definitely had a preorder link up by today if they were expecting stock by Friday, and none of my go tos have any preorder up.

As I wondered aloud: perhaps stock is being allocated the the official U2 site and big online retailers and independent record stores are low on the totem pole. I would've just ordered from one of said retailers, but shipping costs are insane. If I know my local is going to get it in then 100% of the time I'll grab from there.

The heads up is more for people like me where ordering from anywhere but the country they live in is an expensive ordeal.

I ordered the colored wax through Udiscover, and yes, shipping cost nearly $12. My conf email says it's expected to ship on the 19th, but I won't be holding my breath. I hope to get down to my local shop on Friday just to see if they do get any copies in.

Mine actually got free shipping from UDiscover? My confirmation email shows $11.92 shipping but if I do the math it doesn't actually calculate in
 
Not sure if there are any Matt Nathanson fans in here but it looks like he recorded an entire cover album of Achtung Baby called Achtung Matty. He's a fantastic live performer and always chooses great covers so I'm looking forward to this.

Fresh grab here. I was thinking of buying this for months and finally pulled the trigger. I only got it because it was a good price, my favorite band and favorite album, and it went to an entity, instead of having a plaque from John Doe who was a Cincinnati Program Director or something. I think it's funny I have it from Hard Rock Cafe. Going to stick out with my other plaques that were issued to me.

If you're in Canada holding out that your local will get Achtung Baby in stock a heads up that they're starting to arrive and was able to cop it this morning for $59.99 + tax CAD.

My UDiscover pre order shipped. But it's a Christmas present so I won't get to hear it for a while. I'm expecting it to be the same as the last reissue just with fancier packaging.

I'll be picking it up tomorrow and will give it a spin at some point over the weekend. There's one proper discog review up saying it's pretty much fantastic and hoping for the best after my last "most wanted album debacle" (Kid A Mnesia).

Mine was in pre-shipment all week, but I received a notification that it was processed thru Trenton yesterday. It would have been delivered today but it's a holiday :( I will be spinning it tomorrow!!!

I did pick up the black pressing at Princeton Record Exchange last Fri - and the sound is great. My only complaint is that it wasn't a gatefold. And, please stop including posters if they need to be folded - no one likes seams. Can't wait for the blue / red from UDiscover.
