We are really liking it. Some of the storylines are a bit ER-ish, but the premise (the whole season is 1 shift) and the acting (especially Noah Wyle) has been very good.
Maybe I'll suggest that as our next watch, although not sure I'll be able to sell yet another medical drama to the wife.

We tried watching Daredevil Reborn and it just reaffirmed how over the Marvel Universe we all are. I'm so uninvested in the lore, and there's at least two to three other shows we would have to watch to get the full backstory it's not worth it any more. Disney is the king of beating dead horses right now. The first episode was stylish af, and if it was an isolated story maybe we'd be okay with it...but it's just exhausting following it all.

Holy shit Netflix new 4-part miniseries Adolescence is fucking great. I am through the first episode and it’s so good. Every episode is is one long continuous shot. No cuts no edits and as technically amazing as that is, the actual story of a 13 year old accused of murdering a classmate is completely enthralling in its own right. Everyone should check it out. It’s an intense watch.

We binged it this weekend. Episodes 1 & 2 had us on the edge of our seats. The third episode was slower. The final one just focused on the emotions and was so hard hitting. Really great, if harrowing, stuff.

I love Stephen Graham and Philip Barantini but I don’t think I can watch this. Maybe once I am done with The Pitt. I can only handle one emotional roller coaster at a time.
The good thing is it’s only 4 episodes and I wouldn’t have minded perhaps one additional episode, an 8 or 10 or 13 episode would have been a bit much.

I haven’t started The Pitt yet but I think I might give the new season of Reacher a go first to break up the intensity a bit.

Agreed. I feel like that 3rd episode might earn that child actor an Emmy though, the intense swings of emotions was something to behold.

I’ve read that many that work in the ER are getting PTSD from the show as it is the most realistic hospital drama they’ve ever seen.
That seems to be the consensus. A friend of ours was an ER dr during COVID. He watched the first ep thinking it would be the usual Gray’s Anatomy fluf (my original thinking as well), instead he had a panic attack and threw-up watching the COVID portion. I took that as a seal of approval.
