I was done with Green Day at Insomniac. I guess I related to sad kid masturbation more than skater kid fights at the time.
I held on until Nimrod but Insomniac and Dookie are the only two I really revisit.

Fugazi is all that really stuck for me.
I was just saying of all the Punk from that era, that’s what stayed with me.What a weird band to throw in a Green Day/Offspring debate…
Yeah, Dookie was a fave. I had both Dookie and Smash on CD but I frequently listened to Dookie all the way through, Smash was one that I typically only listened to the singles.I feel like those albums went hand in hand at the time.
Same Nimrod was my last Green Day CD.I held on until Nimrod but Insomniac and Dookie are the only two I really revisit.
@Lee Newman has always been really into post-hardcore bands like Fugazi and Green Day.What a weird band to throw in a Green Day/Offspring debate…
I mean I did a page an a half of what the fuck is offspring here for?I feel like I might upset some folks when I get home and start playing catch-up on this thread because I can't say I've much enjoyed anything I've listened to so far today and I know some of these folks are beloved to many....

If Green Day is post Hardcore, I am gonna say that genre is as useless as fucking "grunge"@Lee Newman has always been really into post-hardcore bands like Fugazi and Green Day.
Pop-Punk all the way.If Green Day is post Hardcore, I am gonna say that genre is as useless as fucking "grunge"

Quite frankly, boring. The "doo doo doo doo doo"s at the end of "Suite: Judy Blue Eyes" are great, and the guitar/effect on "Pre-Road Downs" is pretty cool but that's about all that really stood out for me. The rest was certainly listenable and inoffensive but didn't do much for me. 2.5/5, rounded down (at least .75 of this is for the "doo doo doo doo doo"s alone)
