Mine came through Abe books. It was someplace in the UK (Book Depository I think). $42USD. Was listed as store return but was still in its shrink wrap.

I ended up getting used copies of this, The History of Jazz, and Hard Bop Academy

I bought a used copy, its in good shape with only some light wear. Cost like 28 bucks. Never hurts to try used

Did you order a used one off of Amazon?
I’ve been eyeing them.
I guess it’d be worth a $20 gamble.

For those of you that dont mind waiting, its worth checking eBay every now and again (even better, set up an alert). I bought mine still in its shrinkwrap for £14.99 (I believe shipping was around £5).

@Dark Star Boogie did you ever end up ordering any of those DeAgostini Blue Notes? Did anybody else on here? I keep getting eBay messages about them and can’t tell when mine actually arrive but seems like mine have cleared customs so hoping I get them soon!

Jesus, those are gorgeous. Was reading the house that trane built on the plane and they kept going on about how great impulse packaging was, and the gatefolds are phenomenal, but these covers are all timers

Has anyone seen the new Blue Note Documentary? Blue Note: Beyond The Notes

Really want to see it but theres no listings near me.

Watching now, and liking it quite a lot. Love the montage of Reid miles covers. No one has had such a legacy when it comes to album covers. Blue Train is not coltranes best, but that cover is legitimate art

I watched the documentary last night and loved it! Man, Lou Donaldson may be my favorite person ever after watching it...he's so cool.
My only complaint is that I wish it were longer.

Part of me wants to get a nice press of Soul Station, so I’ve not done that yet, but I think I’ll be grabbing that Indeed! soon enough!

Yeah. @MikeH I got Indeed! and New York is Now and both sounded well mastered to me, nice dynamics, no obvious clipping or compression and cut nice and loud on a flat, heavy and quiet disc. My system is quite forgiving I think and I sometime detect more imperfections on headphones which I haven't done with these yet but for general speaker listening I'm very happy. Hell at £25 I be happy with these, at a tenner I'm definitely looking into more after next payday.

Thanks! I ended up grabbing Indeed! Soul Station and Go since they were so cheap just to give them a test. Fingers crossed they arrive here safely.
