The Crate Digging & Bargain Bin Finds Thread

I had pretty much given up on crate digging because the locals near me either only have G or worse quality vinyl in the crates or they have like one crate with a bunch of granny records in there. But I'm in Birmingham today and went by Seasick Records on my lunch break to do some crate digging and it was a good time. The sleeves on most were in crummy shape, but every vinyl I pulled out to inspect looked to be NM or better. It really blew my mind how great of shape the discs were. So I grabbed four Little Feat albums, Buffalo Springfield, an Al Di Meola, and a Willy Nelson for $35. Might have to hit it back up again before I leave town because while I was there they got a call from a guy looking to sell his 400 album collection and regular customer said he was going to bring in about 150 90s albums this week to sell too. Might not be enough time for them to sort and put out, but worth another visit on Friday I think just in case.

Don't know, but if they're there on Friday when I visit again and there's anything I don't want, I'll let you know. I've had them ship to me before and it's been a good experience.

I have found some gems the last few months digging around a few area stores. These are two for the $5 and under class.

Really nice vinyl condition. VG+ IMO

I've been wanting to add some more Santana to my collection and was hoping to spot some today, but there was an old guy who was digging in front of me and snagged three of them before I could! But nice finds on both of those for a good price.

Been there before... drooling over a lady's shoulder holding a LZ III.

honestly i was half hoping @Jbraswell was going to post "I'm not old, I was just in front of you!" because it would be hilariously serendipitous if you were both browsing the same store

Hit a thrift store today and found a few keepers. At this point in my collecting life, the vinyl has to look at least VG+ or I don't care how inexpensive it is, I'm passing. So this wasn't bad, even if the titles aren't all top-of-the line. The Stones jacket is the only one that really shows its age, but the 2 records look great. And I guess the Willie Nelson is the score of the lot, easy VG+/VG+ for an album that according to discogs has only three pressings. I got this one: Willie Nelson - Both Sides Now. Picked up a total of 9 albums for $11. (No idea why I opted for the Tiny Tim  .)
