Anyone here use Plexamp and Qobuz? I'm wondering if there is a way to highlight albums in my NAS in MP3 format and move to Qobuz for CD quality playback.

I can see that stuff like Lidarr exists, which will scrape your library and look for upgrades, but I don't know if there is any benefit in that if you're not on usenet, and I don't know if I can be bothered putting on my eyepatch again (note that a good chunk of my MP3's are eMusic purchases). I wonder if my alternative is reviewing my library and hitting Discogs for CD copies of the albums I want better quality files of.

Not really answering your question but for Plex you can have multiple folders linked to each category. I keep a MP3 folder for older copies and FLAC file for new ones I add. That makes it easier for me to track what I need to upgrade also.
When I hit the music tab in Plex it looks no different than if they were all in the same folder. You could then link Qobuz to the FLAC folder.

Edit: not sure how the Plexamp server works verse classic Plex. Assuming similar.

Which streamers have Apple Music and Bandcamp incorporated into their system?
Not many sadly. The streamer needs to be running a full version of Android and have the Google Play store loaded. You can then download any app and it will play content from it directly. I know the FiiO R7/R9 does. I think WiiM has been teasing a full android version coming soon. Not sure who else has it.

You could use an iPad with a dongle dac or a dac that uses usb-c input and then out from there.

It would really be nice if Blu would add those two to their OS. I guess whenever I upgrade my daughter’s iPad, I can use her old one and just buy whatever I need to run that directly into the Node.

The problem with Apple Music is an Apple thing and unless you run a streamer with an touchscreen and android so you can download the Apple Music app like on a phone I don’t think you’ll ever be able to go beyond airplay sadly.

Fiio R7 & R9, and Eversolo DMP-A6 and DMP-A8 are all that I know of right now. I have a DMP-A6 in one of my setups and it’s a solid device with a really good app.

The upcoming uber Eversolo DMP-10 will probably have the ability to do so as well, and the new Shanling SM1.3 may get those abilities, but that’s speculative. I don’t know if a Pi streamer can, I have no experience there, but others here do and can maybe answer.

The super expensive shanling cd player can, it’s another android based one that you can download the app from the App Store on it. I don’t know of any pi builds that allow you to run android as an os, but I’ve been out of that community for a couple of years now.

Hey @Mather you know what sounded AMAZING through Dirac? That new Gillian Welch.
speaking of Dirac...are there any amps that have a small footprint and have Dirac capability? we're rebuilding a screened-in porch and its probably overkill, but was looking into a small amp to put in there to pair with some speakers i already have. i'll probably just end up getting some ikea sonos speakers to use with Roon...but if there's something under $1k that has dirac that I can hook speakers up to and has a nice DAC, I could be convinced to go that route!

The Winamp has room correction but not DIRAC.

Here's the current list of models that carry it. The NAD C379 might be the cheapest one? Maybe?

yea--i think technically sonos has room correction kinda right? i remember doing the whole thing with walkin around the room with my phone waving it around like a mad man.
No idea? Also that sounds like a crazy way to set up room correction.
