The football thread RenegadeMonster is looking for: NFL talk

I’m just bummed because this clown will likely end up with the Bears. Retread bullshit because the Bears whole philosophy is to do exactly the opposite of what they just did. Flus was a new Defensive HC so now we go with the retread Offensive HC.

Even though the biggest issue with Eberflus was game management and the one of the biggest knocks against McCarthy is game management.

But that clown beat the clown in Pittsburgh.

I think there are worse choices than Mike McCarthy. It's hard to rate the effectiveness of any coach that is under the thumb of Jerry Jones. He wasn't Jason Garrett who wasted prime years of players. Dak and CeeDee had their chances. He needs to give up playcalling duties if he takes over somewhere else.

He’s proven to be a poor game manager. After this season with the Bears I think he would make a fantastic Head Coach for the New York Jets.

I will bet you a Canadian Loonie that when all is said and done Tomlin ends up in Canton after winning another Lombardi trophy with or without the Steelers.
I think he’s close to Canton now. I don’t dispute he may have run his course in Pittsburgh, but Tomlin is a hell of a coach. As a Ravens fan, Pittsburgh is almost always are a tough game on the calendar (the last two games this year excepted).

I do think there’s a risk for sure that the next coach doesn’t keep the stability they’re known for. They need to trade their #1 pick for a younger QB that could be the cornerstone for the future.

Cowher is in so Tomlin will get in.
And in order for Steelers to get THE next QB, they are going to need to have a losing season. That’s exactly how they got Ben.
