The Good Ol' Grateful Thread

So despite my better judgment, I picked up the vinyl Dick’s 33 (great shows, one of my under the radar favorites of the series though I’m a little Dead live showed out on vinyl) and this may be the best pressed of these yet. I can tell it’s been remastered and the vinyl quality one side in is amazing. This one is a steal at the $175 price (ok, at least by current market standards) and Real Gone got it to me 2 days after ordering!

Originally ordered a year ago, and have gotten delayed shipping emails since then. I would just cancel but I don’t know if they’ll let me. I bundled two and three together and they already refused to send three by itself even though they have it in stock.
They most likely will not let you cancel. LITA’s customer service is the worst. I ordered the 2FTV/3FTV bundle a few years ago. Both arrived extremely damaged and with warped LPs. I contacted LITA and they basically told me they had no control over USPS or the pressing plant and would do nothing to help me. It had been more than 6 months since I placed the order so I had no recourse with PayPal or my credit card. I have not done business with them since.

Story time! Remember game stop stock insanity? It coincided with the VMP box and me getting into The Dead. So I bought shares with the only goal of making enough $ to buy all three "from the vaults" and that's exactly what I did. Probably left $ on the table but a goal is a goal. So I ordered Two From the Vault on 1/27/2021....... Hope it's worth it.

I'm dealing with LITA on the repress of Hiroshi Yoshimura - Green. Ordered in January of this year with a ship date of 9/22/2022, but it got moved to 3/17/2023. And looking at my other pre-orders with them over the years, I don't know that any actually shipped on time.

I didn’t realize LITA sucked so much. I got my One From The Vault from them without a problem last year. Which is why I ordered the next two from them.

I will say the LITA quality is great. I have 1 and 3 from the vault and both are well pressed and packaged.
Well this is what mine look like (plus the records were warped) and this is what I was told:

"Hi Mark,

Thanks for your business and for reaching out!

Unfortunately, these cosmetic damages that often occur due to rough handling by carriers on their journey to you are largely out of our control.

All sales are final on orders."

I was not pleased with that response and don't think it is unreasonable to ask for replacements after dropping $160 with them.

That would be disappointing for sure.

Burgettstown and Cincinnati for me. Maybe Noblesville.

The finale in SF is on my birthday and ever so tempting, but the 1 year old and work will probably prevent that from happening, not to mention that it will be nearly impossible to get tickets for it.

I'm hoping I can make the Atlanta show, it's at the perfect time during the few days I get off between spring and summer semesters. But I also need to get out to Washington in July and catching those shows would be better!

Put in for LA and San Francisco. The Forum would be a nice end show for me if I don't get SF though. One of my favorite memories is being in GA at the Forum for the following show (12/8/89) , and getting my first Help --> Slipknot! --> Franklin's Tower.

I’m gonna try to do the Atlanta show. It should work out okay cause I’ll be on summer break from work by then. Just hoping the ticket prices aren’t insane.

Tbh I didn’t care much for seeing Dead and Co. before but considering this is the “final tour” I feel I need to see them in this iteration. Should be fun!

Anyone have FLACs or CDs of 4/8/78, specifically the Betty Cantor SDB reels? Would love to get these files (without having to stream the show).

Not sure if there are any GD archives around that allow free downloads of SDB shows in lossless formats
