I feel bad because they all deserve to have a moment to themselves but that was really well produced and an enjoyable melody and they all did well

Her speech was great too. Good for her to shine a light on an issue effect many artists but rarely provided a platform.

I don’t recall ever hearing a bad version of ‘California Dreamin’’. It’s just one of those songs that always hits for me. That said, that was a really nice rendition.

One of my favorite songs of all time. And i agree it was a great cover to be added with all the other great covers of it! Hot take beach boys may be my favorite version of it even though the mama and papas may be the better one

That version kind of reminded me of Jose Feliciano’s beautifully straightforward take of the song.

Lots of not new artist are nominated every year. This Sabrina Carpenter record was her 6th studio album. Shaboozey’s third, etc…

There has been some discussion of renaming the category to “Best Breakthrough Artist”.

Since that is what it is and to end the confusion that seemingly arises every time the nominees are announced.

Lots of not new artist are nominated every year. This Sabrina Carpenter record was her 6th studio album. Shaboozey’s third, etc…

There has been some discussion of renaming the category to “Best Breakthrough Artist”.

Since that is what it is and to end the confusion that seemingly arises every time the nominees are announced.

I agree it should be breakthrough instead of new. Sure Sabrina Carpenter has been releasing music for 10 years but this was her breakout year so she deserves the nom.

That being said Khruangbin isn’t anymore breakout now than they have before
